DIMAPUR, March 13

THOUGH it was a tough decision to ride through Dzükou valley and many villagers thought it will be a mission impossible yet it was made possible because of the incomparable endurance of friends who could make to the top with the dismantled bike and also the bicycles, after which there was no stopping. This was done just to keep up with the passion that the Nagaland Adventure Club infuses in its members and in fact fulfilled a much awaited dream. The whole idea of riding through the valley was only with the intention of enjoying the profound and enchanting beauty by crisscrossing through her on the machine that we love the most to be precise it was pleasure combined with passion and definitely not forgetting to show the respect for the unending beauty of Dzükou valley.
The first person to ride through the valley was KK Paul Rutsa, though in the later part of the day on the way back was assisted by president of NAC Thejakielie Zuyie. The ride was backed by NAC members on their bicycle; they were Kevi Chadi, Burakum Ao, and Bharat Prasad.
On the morning of March 9 2014 the Nagaland Adventure Club reached Viswema base. The wheels touched Tempfü peak at 10:30am, rechecked the bikes, fitted some parts, fueled the tank and started spinning the wheels at 12:00 noon then our dream journey started and within an hour we were at Dzükou rest house. The whole team was energized by the achievement and almost forgot to eat our packed lunch.
While exploring the valley on wheels many trekkers were amazed hearing the roaring sound of the machine in the middle of nowhere. It’s a record in the history of Dzükou that a motorcycle and 3 Bicycles were rode around Dzükou valley.
With all fun riding and photographs as the sun sets it’s time for the team to bid adieu to the beautiful valley. The team reached the base at 6:30pm and was received warmly by other well wishers and club member Atou Tsurho, Sobou Miachieo and Recie Mero.
The Nagaland Adventure Club thanks the Almighty God for all guidance and protection throughout the expedition. Special thanks to Rokovor Vihienuo of Spearhead Design for all photographs, Sedi Kechu and team and all who supported the Expedition.
