Two persons with disability selected for award

Two persons from Nagaland with disabilities have been selected for an award for achievements in sports and arts. Mhachio Ngullie has been selected for achievement in the field of sports while Katibenla has been selected for achievement in the field of arts and culture by the Collective Action for Basic Rights Foundation (CBRF), it was informed on Tuesday, February 2.
The award will be presented during Samarthya 2016, a note from K Ela, director of nongovernmental organization Prodigals’ Home in Dimapur informed.
Prodigals’ Home is also a partner organization of CBRF and implementing a community-based rehabilitation project for persons with disability. Prodigals’ Home and four other nongovernmental organizations in Nagaland are working on the said project, with two each in Dimapur and Mokokchung, the note stated.

Collective action for Basic Rights Foundation (CBRF) came into existence as an independent society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in New Delhi on January 19, 2011.
