Dimapur, Aug. 14 (EMN): World Vision India under its Area Development Programme (ADP) and department of Social Welfare inaugurated two Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) centres at Totok Chinglen and Totok Chingnyu “A” respectively on August 13.
Khupao Hengna, DPO, Mon, and M Tongwang Yanlam, CDPO, Mon, inaugurated the ICDS centres in the presence of Christabel Kalaiselvi, Group Director- Operation WVI; Samuel Therieh, Associate Director PMO, Guwahati; and communities leaders.
In an update, Y Nockyam Wangnao, Mon ADP, WVI coordinator development facilitation, stated that Mon ADP, World Vision India and department of Social Welfare, Mon division, have been closely working for the uplift of vulnerable section of the people in the communities since the day they signed an MoU in October 2015.
Partnering in implementing various activities and programmes for further strengthening of ICDS programmes, Mon ADP, World Vision India, had constructed five ICDS centres and renovated three ICDS centres in Mon and Wakching blocks in 2019.
