Assam Rifles personnel with the seized liquor in Merapani on January 30.[/caption]   Dimapur, Jan 30: In a search operation at Bhandari – Merapani State Highway, troops of 28 Assam Rifles recovered illegal Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) being smuggled from Assam into Nagaland on January 30. The liquor was found hidden in two Alto cars bearing registration No. MZ 01 A 7454 and NL 01 C 8924 respectively. A total of 1050 bottles of liquor was seized. Marques and John Lotha, the alleged owners of illegal liquor, have been handed over to Bhandari Police Station on January 30 alongwith the seized liquor. FIR against the individuals have also been lodged by Assam Rifles in Bhandari Police Station.
