Two held with fake currency notes

Surat, May 15 (PTI):  Two persons were today arrested from Amroli area here with fake currency notes of Rs 2,000 denomination with face value of Rs 72,000, police said today. Accused Tulsi Sodhiya and Divyesh Kaleriya were arrested by the city crime branch sleuths when they were trying to circulate the fake currency of Rs 2,000 denomination in Amroli locality, DCP (Crime) Vishal Vaghela told reporters. The duo might have succeeded in circulating such notes in Surat market, but were arrested, police recovered 36 notes with face value of Rs 2,000 each from their possession, he said.
