Two from Nagaland qualify for National shooting trials
Dimapur, Dec.27: Two shooters from Nagaland, Hito Swu and Bivash Biswas were qualified for the 1st & 2nd Selection Trials of National Squad in the recently held 60th National shooting championship held at Balewadi Shooting Ranges Pune.
A press release from the Merang Jamir, the president of the Nagaland rifle association stated that three shooters from the State participated in the recently held championships at Pune Maharastra in the .177 Air rifle and air pistol categories.Hito Swu scored a best of 618.4 in the Air Rifle Civilian and National Championship, Bivash Biswas scored 566 in the Air Pistol Civilian Championship and Maoli Sangtam scored 554 in the Air Pistol Civilian Championship.
The release further added that Nagaland has now 7 National Shooters, 3 in 10 metre Air Rifle; 2 in 10 metre Air Pistol and 2 in 50 metre .22 Free Rifle Prone.
The Selection Trials of the National Squad will be held at the same venue from January 11 to 21, 20017.
