[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he first elimination of the ongoing Naga Orpheus Hunt, 2013 was held at Eastern Talkies where two contenders were eliminated amidst heartbreak and tears as they bade farewell to the Orpheus family to achieve their dream of becoming the next Naga singing sensation.Out of the 18 probable contestants, Abetoli and Ajungba Lkr, both from Dimapur were the two unlucky crooners who could not make it to the next voting round i.e. Ethnic Round as they received less votes from the open public voting.
It may be noted that five contestants T. Apenla Sangtem, Vesedo Meteu, Pongchai Konyak, Abetoli and Ajungba Lkr entered the danger zone and were given a chance to prove their worth to earn a wild card to go to the next round. After their performance, the judges deliberated their decisions basing on their talents and musical versatility and awarded green card to T. Apenla Sangtem, Vesedou Medeo and pongchai Konyak.
The Naga Orpheus contestants will be hitting the road throughout the State starting this November. So far four districts have already been slotted in their itinerary for their promotional tour which the organizers will announce later through print and other media.
