Two detained with tampered vehicles

Kohima police have detained two persons in Kohima after the authorities found that the vehicles they were driving, one each, had tampered documentation details and registration. Kohima police isused a press release on Wednesday informing about the arrest. On October 6 personnel of Kohima police manning the interstate check gate at Khuzama were checking vehicles when they happened into two vehicles, two Mahindra Boleros bearing the registration numbers AS-01BB-2587 and MN-01X-1859, respectively, on suspicion. Both the vehicles where thoroughly checked and their documents were examined, the police said.
“In the process of checking, the engine and chassis no. of the Bolero B/R MN-01X-1859 was found to be tampered while the driver of the Bolero B/R AS-01BB-2587 failed to produce valid vehicle documents,” the police said.
In this connection, the drivers of the two vehicles have been arrested. They have been identified as one Anil Kumar Gupta, a 23-year old man from Shahpurapathin village in Ara district of Bihar; a Khrishna Sah, a 28-year old man from Bikramganj village of Rohtar district in Bihar.
Further investigations are on, the police said.
ATM card found
A silver SBI ATM card belonging to Science College in Jotsoma bearing card No.4591 5100 1960 9788 has been found from the town on 07/10/15 by traffic personnel. The rightful owner may contact the police authorities and collect the ATM card from the SDPO of Kohima during office hours.
