Two-day orange festival in Rüsoma concludes

Kohima, Jan. 28 (EMN): A two-day orange festival in Rüsoma village concluded on January 26. The festival showcased variety of oranges of different tastes and sizes. Besides organic vegetables, seeds and saplings of crops and handicrafts were also exhibited.

About 27 stalls were set up by the members of the orange growers committee.

Various competitions were held during the festival.  The biggest orange was awarded to Neilakholie Zhale, while the sweetest orange was awarded to Khrielhoulie Bierü and the highest orange eating competition was won by Neiki, and Razuokhrielie taking the second position.

It was informed that about 700 visitors on the first day and more than 1000 visitors on the second day.
