Two-day Karmayogi Kartavya Karyashala training begins in Kohima to institutionalise a culture of service attitude among frontline officials.
DIMAPUR — A two-day training programme on the Karmayogi Kartavya Karyashala commenced at the Administrative Training Institute, Kohima, on Wednesday.
The training was organised by the Personnel and Administrative Reforms department in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission, Government of India, and the Administrative Training Institute.
According to a press release, the programme is being attended by 40 participants drawn from six departments: Nagaland Police, Municipal Affairs, SCERT, Social Welfare, Health and Family Welfare, and the State Institute of Rural Development.
The inaugural programme was attended by V Shashank Shekhar, Additional Chief Secretary and Director General of the Administrative Training Institute, as the special guest.
In his address, Shekhar highlighted that one of the most fundamental responsibilities of government servants is to serve the most vulnerable sections of society with dedication and empathy. He encouraged the participants to recognise their role as change-makers and role models within their workplaces and communities, adding that such trainings contribute to the larger vision of building a Viksit Bharat and a Viksit Nagaland.

The Karmayogi Kartavya Karyakram is being rolled out across the country as one of the largest training initiatives of its kind in the world, aiming to institutionalise a culture of "Seva Bhav" (service attitude) among frontline government officials.
Through a cascading model, National Lead Trainers train State Master Trainers, who are then certified as State Lead Trainers to train frontline officials across their respective departments.
