Dimapur, June 6 (EMN): Dimapur police arrested one person identified as Joel Kiba (43) from S Hotovi village area on June 5 for illegal possession of small arms.
A police report issued by the additional deputy commissioner of police and PRO stated that police personnel recovered one .32 pistol with 10 live rounds from his possession. It added that a case in this connection has been registered at Diphupar police station.
In a separate incident, personnel of Mon police station arrested one person identified as Nokgu alias Anok (44) of Longwa Wasa village on June 5 for possession of 55 packets of suspected heroin (Sunflower) weighing approximately 750 gram, which were packed in soap cases.
A police report issued by additional superintendent of police and PRO Mon DEF stated that the accused person was arrested based on specific inputs while he was proceeding towards Mon on Longwa-Mon road.
It added that a case in this connection has been registered at Mon police station.
