Dimapur, Jan. 25 (EMN): Twitter is reportedly working on a brand new feature called Twitter Flock that will let its users share exclusive tweets with up to 150 select users.

The new feature is quite similar to Instagram’s ‘Close Friends’ option. Using the feature Twitter users would be able to share tweets with their ‘flock’ and only the people in a user’s ‘Flock’ can view and reply to their tweets.

Twitter had revealed an early design concept of the feature in July of last year. It was called “Trusted Friends” at the time and the current name could also change once the feature is officially released.

According to mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi, the current iteration of the feature will let users add up to 150 people to their ‘flock,’ edit the group anytime and the platform won’t notify anyone if a user removes someone from the list.

It may be mentioned that Twitter is also experimenting on another feature called ‘Communities’ which will let users connect with other users with shared interests. Before sending out a tweet, a user can choose to send it out to a specific Community rather than all of their followers.

Twitter has been dishing out changes to its platform lately, especially for its iOS users, including tweet reaction videos, topics tag bar and NFT profile pictures.

Hoepfully, Twitter Flock will not turn out to be a flop like its expiring tweets feature Fleets.
