Twitch streamer Indiefoxx loses Twitch Partner status over controversial ASMR content

Dimapur, July 1 (EMN): The Twitch world has been rocked by a series of bans resulting from the backlash against ASMR streamers doing "sexually suggestive content." The backlash against these controversial streamers saw Twitch hand bans to Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa and Jenelle “Indiefoxx” Dagres, two major streamers on the platform.

However, just after the three-day ban was over, Indiefoxx received another ban from Twitch after breaching the platform’s sexually suggestive content policy while streaming. This is the sixth time that Indiefoxx has received a ban from Twitch so far in 2021.

The 26-year-old streamer has gained huge popularity thanks to her hot tub and ASMR meta streams. She currently has more than 2 million followers and averages almost 10K viewers per stream.

Even though Indiefoxx's ban is not permanent, this time around the controversial streamer has been stripped of her Twitch partner status. This was confirmed via a tweet from CommanderRoot who tweeted that apart from losing her Twitch partner status, she is also no longer a Twitch affiliate.

This is indeed going to have a huge negative impact on revenue generation from her streams and will also affect visibility.

Indiefoxx's Twitch bans this year

• Thursday, February 1 — 3 days
• Monday, February 5 — 3 days
• Saturday, February 24 — 1 day
• Saturday, April 10 — 3 days
• Tuesday, June 22 — 3 days
• Monday, June 28 — Ongoing

We cannot be sure if Indiefoxx is going to come back to Twitch but it is highly likely that she might move on to another platform, seeing as her ability to generate revenue has been diminished greatly.

However, Indiefoxx has managed to come back to Twitch six different times this year despite Twitch's own policy to permanently ban a streamer from the platform after their third strike. On top of that, we are yet to receive any formal comment from Twitch regarding the star’s ban.

If the speculation is true, Indiefoxx will be one of the biggest names to leave Twitch since Dr. Disrespect's controversial permanent ban.
