Dimapur, Sep. 18 (EMN): The district Welfare establishment of Tuensang organised a seminar on health, on September 18 in the ENSF hall in Tuensang. Accredited social health activists, members of self-help groups, and Angangwadi workers, Gaon Burah, and church leaders attended the event, the updates stated.
The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) gave updates on Wednesday offering details about the programme.
According to the IPR, PH Ramaikalo of the Poshan Abhiyan, gave an introduction about the Poshan Abhiyan. He said that the programme targets children of the age group 0-6 years, and pregnant women and lactating mothers.
Ramaikalo told the gathering about anaemia, deficiencies and its signs and symptom, and causes and sources. The people at the programme were told about the importance of first 1000 days of a child and how to take care of the child during the period, the updates stated.
