Tuensang releases 2nd batch of returnees from quarantine centres

Dimapur, June 1 (EMN): A total of 36 individuals including six female and three male from Abigail hostel at Longkhim, and 16 male and 11 female from Setam Polytechnic, both quarantine facilities in Tuensang district, have been released on Monday on completion of 14 days of quarantine period.

According to a DIPR report, the Tuensang district task force for Covid-19 held a meeting and discussed on releasing the second batch of returnees from green zones.

The inmates were released with medical certifications and standing orders in case they face problems while entering villages and wards. They will undergo mandatory seven more days of home quarantine under supervision of medical team, it stated.

During the meeting, they also discussed about the construction and installation of BSL-2 laboratory at Tuensang.

The members also deliberated on emergency re-testing of the returnees from red zone and decided to request for further tests on priority.
