Dimapur, July 20 (EMN): Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has recommended upgradation of Panso EAC headquarters to SDO (C) and forwarded the same to the government for approval. The proposal for upgradation of Panso EAC headquarters was submitted by Noklak Sub-Division Planning and Development Board (SDPDB).
The recommendation was made during the monthly meeting of the Tuensang DPDB on July 14 held in the DC’s conference hall, Tuensang under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, L Jamithung Lotha.
The Board also deliberated on the issue of stray animals inside Sao Chang Government College premises and decided to issue a circular with a deadline. It has decided to call for further steps in the event of failing to comply with the circular. The Board also discussed and approved the renewal of Lunthu Youth Club, Chessore village, and Pathso Cultural Club.
The grant-in-aid sought by the Wela Foundation High School, Tuensang, was discussed and approved to be sent to the government for approval.
Administrator and ADC, Tuensang, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon has proposed opening a weekly market every Friday. He further called for a mass social work on July 22 and appealed all officials to cooperate.
New members were introduced to the Board including Deputy Commissioner, L Jamithung Lotha; ADS Supply Dr. Kapenlo Thong; SDO (C), Tuensang, Pakom Phom; District Forest Officer Dr. C Zupeni Tsanglao; ADC Longkhim, Kikumsungla Jamir.
EE PWD (Roads and Bridges) has been entrusted to present power point of the departmental activities in the next meeting.
