Dimapur, Sep. 30 (EMN): A group called the ‘action plan committee Tuensang district’ has asked the government to repair roads besides ‘take up creation’ of a two-lane road in the district. The committee issued a copy of a letter to the media addressed to the ‘ministry of national highway Nagaland’ and demanding repairs specifically for ‘National Highway 202/155.’
‘Having being proposed and appealed to the concern department...the National Highway 202/155 is still left abundant (sic). It is also to be noted that the present road is not in a position for plying vehicles as the road is left ignored for renovation. The road has turned out to be a river/drainage,’ the committee explained in its letter.
‘Under such as awful circumstance the action plan committee had unanimously resolved to appeal to your benign authority for your immediate intervention within a two weeks of time for filling up the pot-holes and to take up the creation of two lane road within three month of time.’
Further, the committee has expressed optimism for ‘immediate change in the share of development activities particularly the NH 202/155.’ It warned however that ‘failing to comply with the appeal the committee may not hesitate to take its own course of action.’
