TUD urges Angami Public Organisation to withdraw quit notice to Mao citizens
DIMAPUR — The Tenyimi Union Dimapur (TUD) has requested the Angami Public Organisation (APO) and its subordinate bodies to revoke the ultimatum and quit notice served on the Mao community.
In a press release issued on Monday, the TUD expressed concern over the recent development involving the Angami and Mao communities over the disputed Kezoltsa/ Kozürü area.
However, with the intervention of the Tenyimi People’s Organisation (TPO) and the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO), “the situation at the dispute site is under control,” besides restoration of the rest house which was earlier dismantled and complete withdrawal of the Manipur police from the disputed site, it stated.
Taking this development into consideration, the TUD requested the APO to withdraw the ultimatum and quit notice in the interest of all.
