DIMAPUR — The TTC Infra India construction company has agreed to resume work on the National Highway-2 in Wokha district, based on the district administration’s assurance that it would provide a conducive and safe working atmosphere for workers.
The decision was announced in a letter addressed to the Chief Engineer of the state PWD, National Highway Division, on Thursday.
In the letter, the company stated that it would be re-mobilising its workforce “to complete the balance work as per the TCS and scope of work stipulated in the contract,” considering that the civil society organisations have suspended the bandh along the highway stretch.
“We also submit that, any prevention, let or hindrances in the commencement or during the execution of work will compel us to terminate the contract as our the last resort, without any further notice,” the letter stated.
It went to state that the company would resume work as soon as possible, maintaining their right to claim compensation according to the contract terms, and presuming full support and cooperation for the execution and completion of the remaining work without any hindrance at the site.
