Dimapur, Nov. 22 (EMN): The Tening Students’ Union (TSU) has deplored the poor mobile service provided by the BSNL and has demanded the company to improve its services at the earliest.
A press release received here on Thursday stated that the BSNL is the lone cellular provider at Tening and the whole population of the area relies on the service provider. However with the passing of time, the service has been deteriorating causing disappointments to the users, the union stated.
It stated that the union has made several appeals to the company, but there has been no improvement at all and the public has been experiencing untold hardships in the past years.
Saying that one of the most affected groups because of the poor BSNL connectivity is the students’ community, the union stated that the students are made to go through intense troubles as they are left with no options to update their daily needs in the field of school and techinical education.
“The instability of the service has extremely affected the normal functioning of offices and institutions like his which in return has always been borne by the general public,” the union stated.
It said that the general public understand very well the certain reasons for the break off of the service; however, it stated that the ‘BSNL’s favourite excuse’ for the problem as electricity being the main cause ‘is no longer make-believe to the general public’.
With regard to the ‘transplace of Control Unit to Nkialwa from Tening’, the union said that it has had appealed to the general manager of the firm at Dimapur, but there has been no response so far.

The Union on behalf of the general populace demand the firm to reinstate the Control Unit at Telling within 15 days from the publication of this press failing which will invite he Union to take its own course of action,” the union stated while adding that it will “no longer engage in any negotiation and will not be held responsible for any action initiated against the firm henceforth”.
