Kohima, Jan. 18 (EMN):Local legislator Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu has inaugurated a newly-constructed building to house the government middle school for Tsiesema village under Kohima district on Jan. 18. The new building for the institution was constructed through the Local Area Development Fund for 2017-18.
In his address, Dr. Keditsu said that implementing government schemes and projects face hindrances ‘due to absence of mass participation of the public.’ While asserting that the accomplishment of any government’s scheme and project depends entirely on ‘mass participation of the public,’ he lauded Tsiesema’s villagers for their unity and ‘collaborative contribution toward successful construction of the new school building.’
The member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly called upon the villagers to ‘continue to extend their utmost participation’ in developmental activities and gain maximum benefit from them. He informed the gathering that the government had been giving special focus to ‘rapid growth of education by investing huge funds.’
Expressing concern about the current state of unemployment for educated youths in the state of Nagaland, he emphasized on the need ‘give more importance to the private sectors’ other than on government jobs.
The legislator remarked that the degree-oriented system of education in the country was one of the reasons ‘inviting unemployment problems’ unlike career-oriented systems of education in other countries.
The chairman of Tsiesema village Ruokuotuolie Mer said during the event that every individual contributed to the completion of the new building. He requested the authorities in concern to make available study materials and school uniforms on time in the best interest of the students. He called upon the villagers to stay united and move forward collectively to benefit from ‘inclusive development’ of the village.
