Dimapur, March 13 (EMN): Tsiesema villagers and Zhadima Kimho khel had organised a “Friendship Feast” on March 4 at Tsiesema village with the participation of about 2000 members from both the communities.
Ruokuobeilie Mere, organising committee secretary, chaired the programme, while TL Angami, founder president and senior advisor of GBFN, was the guest of honour.
TL Angami exhorted the gathering to continue having good relationship among the two communities which has been existence since the time of their forefathers.
Genesis of the friendship between the two communities was shared by elders from both the villages. According to them, it was said the friendship started during 1956-1958 at the peak of Nagas movement for freedom. It was informed that Kimho Khel of Zhadima were called to Tsiesema as a part of grouping of villages by the Government where they stayed for more than a year like a family sharing every little things.
VCC Zhadima delivered short speech and expressed his happiness and thanked the organiser for organising the programme. He said the friendship should not only be confined to Kimho Khel of Zhadima but should include the whole Zhadima. The vote of thanks was delivered by Zakamvu Sorunuo, convenor of organising committee.
