Tseminyu SDPDB hold monthly meeting

Dimapur, Aug. 14 (EMN): The Tseminyu Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (DPDB) conducted its monthly meeting at Dobashi Customary Court Building in Tseminyu on Aug. 10. The advisor to Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, R Khing, presided over that meeting. The meeting reviewed the last meeting minutes and discussed about the forthcoming celebration of Tseminyu town golden jubilee which is scheduled to be conducted in Nov. 18. The additional deputy commissioner, Nokchasashi Ao, reminded the sub–committee members of the jubilee to start with their responsibilities at the earliest. During the discussion, Tseminyu sub-divisional Agriculture officer Viwheto Thorie highlighted the activities of the department. He also briefed on the National Food Security Mission, seed production under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (Hindi for ‘National Agriculture Development Programme'), the programme to promote the farmers to produce their own seeds, and purpose and activities of Agriculture Technology Management Agency. Thorie informed the members that under the given programme "Women in Agriculture," 42 women were taken to Aliba village under Mokokchung for training cum exposure tour on May 5. SMO of Tseminyu Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Tinenlo James, informed about the measles and rubella vaccination campaign.
