- DIMAPUR — The Tseminyu District Integrated
Child Development Services (ICDS) Project, as part of Poshan Pakhwada 2025
underway from April 8 to April 22, held an awareness camp at Town Hall,
Tseminyu, on Monday, with Dr. Medozhatuo Keretsu, Medical Officer (Ayush),
National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes,
Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS) Tseminyu, and District Co-ordinator
Kohima, Poshan Abhiyaan, Eliana Tep, as resource persons.
- During the programme, Dr. Keretsu said the six common signs
of anaemia to look out for are persistent fatigue, pale or yellowish skin,
irregular heartbeats, cold hands and feet, dizziness, and chest pain, according
to a DIPR report.
- Tep said proteins, calcium, and iron-rich green vegetables
should be included in a balanced diet. Cultivating good habits such as regular
exercise and healthy eating will, in addition, bring many benefits in the
future.
- Earlier, the programme was chaired by Senior Supervisor,
ICDS Project Tseminyu, Obed Magh.
- The opening remark was given by Child
Development Project Officer/District Programme Officer in charge Tseminyu,
Menokhrielie, and the vote of thanks was pronounced by Block Co-ordinator,
Tseminyu, Poshan Abhiyaan, Allen Seb.
