Tseminyu felicitates HSLC topper, schools

DIMAPUR — The ‘Felicitation ceremony of Tseminyu district HSLC/HSSLC examinations 2024 topper and 100% schools passed results’ was held on May 16 at EBRC hall with Deputy Commissioner of Tseminyu, Rohit Singh as the special guest.

The event was organised by SDEO/DEO and EBRC Tseminyu, in honour of Amina Yesmin, HSLC topper (15th rank) from DBS Tseminyu and achievements of cent percent passed results by GHS Kasha, GHSS Tseminyu and Christian School, Tseminyu in the HSLC exam and Baptist Higher Secondary School in the HSSLC exam, an update stated.

In his address, the deputy commissioner congratulated the school administrators, principals, headmasters and teaching fraternity for collectively “shaping the younger minds for the future” and acknowledged the lone topper and four schools for cent percent passed results under Tseminyu district.

Quoting “If you educate a boy, you educate an individual. If you educate a girl, you educate a society,” Singh stressed that the students, especially the girl child, have been able to break the barriers and excelling in studies.

He also motivated the students to focus not only in academic aspects but give due importance to the extra-curricular activities.

The DC, on behalf of the district administration, gave away cash incentives and certificates to Amina Yesmin and the four schools. Successful girl students from both government and private schools in HSLC and HSSLC examinationss 2024 were also presented with certificates.

Sohile Tep, assistant headmistress of GHS Kasha; Dr. Jochuhilo Tsela, principal of Christian School Tseminyu and Hechulo Semy, principal of GHSS Tseminyu, delivered short speeches, sharing their experiences and the way forward.

Johilo Tsela, president of Rengma Students’ Union (RSU) also greeting the students on the occasion.
