Tseminyu DPDB meeting reviews progress and developmental plans in the district.

DIMAPUR — The District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Tseminyu was held on November 20 at the DC’s conference hall, under the chairmanship of MLA & Chairman DPDB Tseminyu, Jwenga Seb.
According to a DIPR report, Deputy Commissioner Japheth Woch proceeded with the activities of the meeting by reviewing and announcing the agendas for the session.
The board discussed the proposal for establishment of a DIET centre at Pholozun, and decided to forward the case to the concerned department. The house also discussed the implementation of the National Highway Act 1956 in the district.

In this regard, the house instructed the Rengma Hoho to deliberate on the issues and report to the district administration at the earliest. District Education Officer (DEO) Tseminyu, Asao Seb, presented the activities of the Education department in the district through a PowerPoint presentation.
Unity March held in Tseminyu town
In commemoration of 150th birth of anniversary of Sadar Vallabhbhai Patel, a ‘Unity March’ was held in Tseminyu town on November 21. The march started from DC’s office complex and culminated at Town Hall, Tseminyu, a DIPR report stated.
In his keynote address, Deputy Commissioner of Tseminyu, Japheth Woch, stated that Sadar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary was celebrated as National Unity Day. Referring to Patel as the Iron Man of India for uniting 560 princely states into one unified nation, the DC emphasised that India's diversity is strengthened by the Constitution, and collective unity has propelled the country to achieve significant milestones across various fields.
The programme was chaired by EAC Tseminyu, Mhathung Ngullie, while Unity pledge was led by SDO (Civil) Tseminyu, Tsidi. A cultural folk song was performed by the women ministry of Tseminyu Old Town Baptist Church,
All heads of departments and staff, Rengma Hoho, Rengma Mother's Association, Rengma Selozi, Rengma Students Union, and all wards of Tseminyu Town participated in the Unity March.
