Tseminyu board clears September agenda

Dimapur, Sep. 11 (EMN): The subdivision planning and development board of Tseminyu in Kohima district conducted its monthly meeting on Sep. 10 in Tseminyu. The advisor for Veterinary & Animal Husbandry and Women Resource Development, R Khing, was also in the meeting, updates stated.

The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR), gave details on Wednesday informing about the meeting.

The board’s officials noted that mathematics and English teachers were needed at the government high school of Tesophenyu village. The board’s chairman, R Khing, directed the subdivision education officer, Yhunyule Kent, to examine the matter and report to the board for recommendations to the higher authorities, the IPR stated.

Dr. Akashe Zhimomi highlighted the management of the agriculture agency Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) and its work, which is in aiding agriculture production in the state. The various agriculture and allied departments and farmers in the area were urged by the board officials to take advantage of having the establishment of a KVK in Tseminyu sub-division, the updates stated.

The meeting also discussed matters about the celebration of Ngada Mini Hornbill Festival and the 50th anniversary of new Tseminyu town in November 2019. An organising committee led by the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) as convener was constituted.

The board ‘agreed’ to recommended for approval from the authorities matters about creating a police check gate at Kanti village along NH-2 of Tseminyu sub-division and a sub-jail at Tseminyu ADC headquarters, the IPR added.
