Are we prepared as the body of believers on what is coming?
The previous episode of this edition was ‘if we are prepared’ personally. This time, I will delve into being prepared as the body of Christ – as believers.
In our beautiful Nagaland, where you can often find a series of churches in just one lane or village or colony, we claim that 87.9 per cent (or 1.7 million) of its population identify themselves as Christians compared to 2.3 % (24 million) in a population of 1.4 billion in the whole of India .We have 1708 churches (in a population of 2 million) compared to 28, 278 churches in 1.4 billion. Or to make it easier- for every 100 Nagas, there are 87 Christians. Out of every 100 Indian people there are 2 Christians.
My question: How come the world has not noticed the real Jesus, real Christianity here in Nagaland if there are so many so called Christians?
How strong or weak are we really?
Are we united or a bunch of divided groups who have no dealings with each other because they are not my “tribe”? ( BTW- The only “ tribe” in Heaven is the Kingdom tribe )
If those 1.7 million Christians would be asked to demonstrate who our God really is, could they? Could their faith stand like Paul stood in the thick of his battles and still called it a light affliction? Will those theological words of wisdom from the pulpit help us when we have not been taught how to fight the spiritual war we are in, which tools to use and that the spiritual war we are ALL in, is real? That it is not some misty foggy ghost war, that we are supposed to win with waving flags and shofar sounds but a war with a real enemy?
Many mistake their enemy with the ones in power, with the ones in the “other camp” be it tribe, school, company, country and sad to say church.
Wake up! Your real enemy is not “them”. It is the same enemy that God has, that revolted and rebelled against God 6000 or more years ago. Who WAS next to God, who WAS the brightest in Heaven, who WAS the most powerful angel Up there and the BEST worship leader and more that we have no clue about. What happened? His eyes turned towards himself instead of keeping His eyes on the One who created Him and the honourable position he had been given. He probably started seeing his reflection everywhere. Such as the other angels wings, the water, other angels eyes and anywhere where his reflection could be seen. Instead of continuing and being fulfilled with the highest job in the universe next to God, rebellion, pride and dissatisfaction came in. He led a revolt of at least 1/3 of the angels who started looking and fighting for themselves instead of just doing their job. Lucifer got kicked from His position and authority and became Satan. With him the angels got kicked out and became demons. Now, all these creatures are in the so called second heaven where they are temporarily allowed to be. Their territory is planet earth. They still got their hierarchy. The same so called structure except all is done now without God’s guidance, care and wisdom. They cannot do it by the spirit of God. They lost that. So, they are now operating on a system that is outdated. AKA Old Covenant rules or Old Testament rules. Thank God, a plan was already made to get this mess solved that mankind would find themselves in.
Hosea 4: 6 says that people are destroyed by a lack of knowledge, that means the lack of knowledge from the Word of God.
In ignorance of what and who we should be fighting, not enforcing what God had already established 2000 years ago, we have been fighting amongst each other instead of recognising who is at work behind the scenes. We fight each other instead of unitedly fighting the real enemy.
What is the potential of being destroyed and how?
1) Ignorance of His Word and how to implement and apply it on a daily basis.
2) Lack of knowledge- we fail to look at His word when problems arise and instead of taking that as a standard, we make our own standards which might then vary according to the situation.
3) Wrong Knowledge- because the info we get is not verified by us or confirmed by us, we could easily lead ourselves and others astray.
4) Major mistakes we have made over the years (next week episode).
The devil or the enemy has declared war on us Christians. He is in panic because he knows his days are counted. He is losing people in spite of him upping his ante, and so re-enforcing his troops and strategies,
Thank God for those who have risen to the call. Those who recognised the mistakes the church as a whole has made and now declare war on the devils’ war. They are few though. Some are getting weary. God’s army needs re enforcement. Those who are not afraid to fight with the real weapons provided by God Himself. No. 1: The 100 % baptism of the Holy Spirit. 100 % is only for those who are 100 % obedient. No. 2: The word of God. No. 3: The name of Jesus. No. 4: The blood of Jesus; He shed on the cross and that we can remind ourselves of especially when we celebrate the Lord’s supper. No. 5: His angels that are at our beck and call IF we know how to work with them. No. 6: Prayer and intercession. No. 7: Worship in word and in truth.
There is plenty more available. What it takes from us is a whole hearted “Yes” for Him and His Kingdom.
