Troy FC, Naga United Club, Barak FC and Tiema-Khe enters last 16

Troy FC Naga Bazaar, Naga United Club, Barak FC Peren and Tiema-Khe Kidima today booked berth for the last 16 of the ongoing student martyrs’ memorial soccer tournament organized by Naga Students’ Federation at Kohima Local Ground.
In a close-shave first match of the second round matches, Troy FC Naga Bazaar defeated Christo Naga’s Club Zhavame by 1-0. The only score was netted by Ketholezo Sophie through a direct free-kick in the 27th minute.However the second match was totally one-sided as Naga United Club humiliated Headwinds FC by 9-0.
Velukho Rhakho opened the flood gates setting a record fastest goal of the tourney within one minute thirteenth minute of the match. Chisie Pochury scored two goals, i.e. 2nd goal in 14th minute and 7th goal in 65th min. Letkhokai Kuki also added two, i.e. 3rd in 37th minute and 4th in 39th minute. Avilhou Angami  scored the 5th goal in 51st minute, Keneisedele Angami increased to six in 62nd minute while Kevigumgwangbe Zeliang sealed the score board with eighth and ninth goals in 66th and injury added time of the match.
Playing the third match of the day, Barak FC Peren knocked Orion FC by 2-0 with Nzauhut scoring first in 11th minute and Nyingthong Rengma enhancing it in 48th minute.
Tiema-Khe Kidima defeated Koubru Sporting Club Manipur by 6-5 via tie-break as the teams were locked in 1-1 draw during the stipulated 70 minute of the last match of the day.
Tiema Khe Kidima took the lead first through Kevisekho Thokhwe in 16th minute while the visitors managed their much needed equalizer through Gandhi – in 48th minute. However, Tiema Khe shooters managed to win the match in the tie-breaker.
