Dimapur, May 13 (EMN): The annual sports meet of Trinity School, Kohima was held from May 8 to 10.
According to an update received here on Monday, the outdoor events were held during the first two days at Police New Reserve ground while the last day saw the actions of indoor events that were held within the school premises.
One of the main events of the sports meet was the march-past competition, while games like football, futsal, volleyball, kabbadi, track and field events were held between two categories of seniors and juniors.
EAC Seyiekhrietuo Solo attended the opening ceremony as the guest of honour while the school HSLC 2019 batch students were the special invitees.
Solo in his speech exhorted the students to explore their hidden talents or else it will get rusted like a machete (dao) that is kept unused.
He cited that the difference between successful and unsuccessful persons does not vary much but what clearly defines the two is the spirit of hard work that is exerted. He pointed out that, sports is not all about winning but rather it is also about losing and learning something from it.
Citing his own experiences, as to how valuable it is to abide by the things that are taught by the teachers at any point of time, he confidently asserts that, it is such things that have transformed him to become a successful person in life.
