The much-awaited 20th Triennial Convention of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council, under the theme ‘In Step with the Spirit’ hosted by the Konyak Konyak Baptist Church Association (KBBB) held at Mission Centre, Mon town.
Delivering the massage on the topic ‘In step with the Spirit Church, Rev. Dr. Solomon Rongpi highlighted the works of the Holy Spirit and the nature of the Church. He informed that holy spirit bring people to repent and guide them to the right direction to live the fullness of life. Holy Spirit is a counselor, it inspires and empowers the believers to do the work of the Christ.
Briefing on the nature of the church, he said the church is a kingdom of God on earth and asserted worship, fellowship, discipleship and mission as the four essential functions of the Church.The convention began with the opening spotlight by Konjong Higher Secondary School Mon, Introduction, Roll call and adoption of the program was conducted by Rev Dr. L.Anjo Keikung, General Secretary NBCC, welcome address by Chemyuh Konyak, Executive Secretary KBBB, greetings by Manlip, President Konyak Union, Quartet by Oriental Theological Seminar, Bade. The leader of the opening service was Rev. Dr. Toshi Langu, Associate Pastor, Kohima Ao Baptist Church.
The convention is being attended by 10 international, about 800 national and over 5000 delegates from 116 churches and 9 fellowships under KBBB, Mon.
