Tributes paid to NPGN/NNC (NA) president

Dimapur. Dec 27: A condolence service in honour of late Temjenyanger Aier, President of National People’s Government of Nagaland (NPGN)/ NNC (NA), was held on December 23 at Aoyimsen panchayat ground in the presence of all rank and file of NPGN/NNC (NA) led by ato kilonser Hozheto Z Chophi, leaders from different NNPGs, Ao Yimsen village council, Ao Yimsen Baptist Church members and well wishers.
Chairman of Aoyimsen village council, Dr. Senti described late Temjenyanger Aier as a man with vision, peace maker and a true patriot who had sacrificed his entire for the cause of Nagas.
Late Temjenyanger’s daughter described her father as a man with the personality of ‘slow to anger and quick to reconcile.’ She added that her father was a great prayer warrior who was always ready to help people in need.
NPGN/NNC (NA) MIP kilonser Mar Ao termed late Temjenyanger Aier as a true statesman, honest and humble patriot whose entire life was dedicated for the common cause of Nagas.NPGN/NNC (NA) ato kilonser Hozheto Z Chophi described late Temjenyanger as an exceptional Naga patriot whose guiding principle of forgiveness and non violence led to unify Naga national workers to great extent.
Advisor to collective leadership of GPRN/NSCN Azheto Chophi described late Temjenyanger as a true patriot and honest Naga leader who always worked for the Naga national integrity and sovereignty.
General secretary GDRN/NNC (NA) Hetoi Chophi recalled his short association with late Temjenyanger and acknowledged his commitment towards the Naga national sovereignty. He said late Temjenyanger stood firm on nothing less than the sovereignty of Nagas.
Yapang Ao, NNC (Parent body) lamented that his sudden demise has cause huge vacuum that will be difficult to fill. He said Nagas have lost one of the visionary fathers, who was also a source of wisdom and knowledge of Naga political history.
The programme concluded with mass silent prayer followed with a benediction said by kilo kilonser NPGN/NNC (NA) Vizheto.
Meanwhile, NPGN/NNC (NA) has declared 7 days mourning as a sign of respect to the departed soul.
In a separate statement, MIP kilonser N Mar Ao informed that its political affairs kilonser Ovung Lotha has been appointed as acting president till the next session of Tatar hoho for the appointment of new president.
