A total 14 participants from different tribes competed in the event. Stilt-bamboo race is an indigenous sport played by the men who race among themselves to test strength, skill and flexibility. After two heats of race, three winners were selected: Wera Krome from the Chakhesang tribe emerged the winner while Tosa from the Konyak tribe; and Imrongtoba from the Ao tribe bagged the second and third position, in that order. The three winners received cash prizes.
