The leaders of three NPGs acknowledged that if Th. Declaring that the people of Nagaland are responsible for their own future, the leaders of the three NPGs, therefore, while maintaining solidarity and social attachments with Nagas outside Nagaland state agreed in principle the tribes of Nagaland must come together at all levels so that their political future is decided by themselves and not by their brethren from Myanmar, Manipur, Arunachal or Assam.
The leaders also decided to issue a joint statement stating that since Naga brethren in other Naga inhabited areas have decided to pursue their own political agendas, the time has come for Nagas of Nagaland to seek a political solution which would enable future Naga generations to progress with the rest of the world and live with respect and dignity in their ancestral land.
