Tree plantation drive held at Modern College

Dimapur, July 13 (EMN): The Assam Rifles, Ghaspani battalion, in collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of Modern College, organised a tree plantation drive at the college campus, Piphema, on Thursday.

The college in an update informed that 60 NSS volunteers along with the college faculty and the Assam Rifles personnel took part in the tree plantation drive.

Later in the day, an outing-cum-football friendly match between the college staff and students was conducted at the 7th Assam Rifles ground, Ghaspani.

The match was graced by Col Vikrant Gupta, commandant, 7 Assam Rifles, Ghaspani Bn.; lieutenant Col CH Jacob, second in command 7 Assam Rifles, and Pelee Hekha, managing director, Modern College.

Faculty and students were treated light refreshment and sightseeing to various facilities under the 7 Assam Rifles establishment, it stated.
