Transportation company ‘Ark Travels’ launched in Kohima

KOHIMA — Ark Travels, a premium transportation company that offers private car hire services, was officially launched on Wednesday at New Secretariat Road in Kohima by Rev. James C Neikhrienyü, senior pastor of Baptist Mission Church (BMC).

During the launch, Neikhrienyü drew inspiration from the Bible, emphasising the importance of ‘working and eating’ and urging Ark Travels drivers and employees to remember the Almighty's blessings.

He further stressed the significance of road safety measures, as the drivers would be responsible for ferrying passengers to various destinations.

Kenei Mezhür Sekhose, the proprietor of Ark Travels, explained that the name was chosen based on the story of Noah's Ark. He committed to operating the business in line with Christian principles, aiming to create employment opportunities for locals and provide transportation services that align with professionalism and affordability.

Ark Travels aims to bridge the gap in the market within Nagaland, and by doing so, the company hopes to reduce dependency on neighbouring states and provide reliable transportation solutions to the people of Nagaland.

Ark Travels intends to expand its coverage to other northeastern states in the future, after initially focusing on Nagaland, Assam, and Meghalaya.

The company aims to cater to a wide range of passengers, including patients, students, businessmen, government servants, tourists, families, and more, offering services at affordable rates for various purposes like weddings, seminars, meetings, airport drops, and long-distance journeys.

The proprietor's vision for Ark Travels is to establish it as a reputable company known for safe, convenient, and reliable transportation. The company's fleet consists of Innova and Scorpio vehicles, operated by professional drivers in uniform. These vehicles are equipped with GPS monitoring and dash cams to ensure passengers’ safety.
