EMN Dimapur, March 5 The eleventh day of the ongoing Christian revival event, the Transformation Crusade, began with thousands of people attending the service on Saturday, March 5. The speaker for the evening service was Rokopra Mekro, associate pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church. In his sermon, the preached informed the congregation that the twelve day long crusade was “to expose the devil’s machineries and expand the kingdom of God.” He said that God wants to ‘design our lives.’ He is the real designer, who wants to redesign our life, he said. Quoting Jeremiah 18: 1-11, how the prophet Jeremiah was sent down to the Potter’s place to receive the word of God, Mekro added that one can be a ‘broken vessel’ walking the life enslaved in depression, frustration and rejecting oneself but God wants to redesign that broken life and for that ‘We have to surrender ourselves to God to mould us. When God design our life, we are precious in the sight of God and man like Moses, David, Paul who were a murderer, immoral character, criminal, selfish etc. but when they surrendered their life to God, they were moulder, changed and greatly used for God’s work.’ The church leader said “God is our beautician therefore and we must allow him to beautify us.” The tests that one faces are to “pull us up but Satan will try it to pull us down with it and he further explained the trials come to us are to build our faith and make us stronger to lift us up higher. We are God’s treasure and special in His sight and can never be in rejection if we come to God.” Quoting from John 8:34, ‘..Whosoever committed sin is a servant of sin’, the associate pastor said that in the obedience of the word of God was freedom and that there was joy “when you come closer to God and in order to be successful person in life, we should pray, hear the word of God and have faith.” Later more than three hundred people responded to the altar call for deliverance from bondages of sin, addictions, depression etc Earlier in the afternoon session, Neibalie Kiewhuo, associate pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church spoke on the topic ‘Spiritual nurture and growth’. Stressing on the topic, Kiewhuo said lacking in the nurturing of sprit will lead to instability even if there is physical growth and that the word of God is the only way to nurture the spirit and if fed outside the word of God it will only distort the inner man. He added that the word of God, fellowship and prayer were the way to nurturing the spirit which he said was progressive in all believers. Citing from 1 Corinthians 3:6 that growth comes from God, he called upon the people present to nurture and depend God for the growth. The organising committee of the Transformation crusade has invited one and all to attend the last day of the 12-day long crusade. The program will be at Kohima local ground on March 6.
