ALTOGETHER 54 participants in 18 SUVs, part of the Trans-Asia Expedition today made a stopover at The Heritage, Kohima.
The participants were welcomed by Vice President of Nagaland Adventure and Motors Sports Association (NAMSA) while also hosting lunch for them. After which they proceeded towards Manipur, while the local team escorted them till Mao Gate.In an interaction with media persons, coordinator of the touring group Lam Jye Haur stated that the 54 participants consisting of families from Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and Brunei Islands all primarily businessmen and housewives had set on this expedition in an effort to spread the message of peace and oneness.
Interestingly, the tour group is the first group to have ever passed through the China-Bhutan border on wheels.
The group started from Singapore passing through Thailand- Laos- China and then to India.
The Team will hold over for a night at Imphal and then proceed towards Myanmar tomorrow.
