DIMAPUR — Emerging rock band Trance Effect from Nagaland delivered a powerful opening performance for legendary rock icons Def Leppard in Shillong, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.
An update issued on Thursday informed that the band ignited the stage with high energy, captivating the audience and drawing enthusiastic responses as the crowd danced and jumped along to their music.
‘Even before the show began, Trance Effect made a strong impression during soundcheck. Phil Collen, guitarist of Def Leppard, was seen vibing to their performance and later interacted with the band’s guitarists, Tako Chang and Temsujungba Jamir. Impressed by their sound, he inquired about their tones, equipment, and praised the seamless blend of their guitars,’ the update informed.

The band is said to have concluded the set with their crowd favorite track, “More Love,” leaving a lasting impact on the audience.
Following the concert, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma invited Trance Effect to perform few songs at a special gathering. The band’s original tracks, ‘Favourite Mistake’ and ‘New Beginning’, further impressed the attendees, including delegates and guests, who were captivated by their music.
With this milestone performance, Trance Effect continues to establish itself as a rising force in the music scene, earning recognition from both audiences and industry legends alike.
