DIMAPUR — A two-day training on the public address systems organised by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) commenced on Thursday at the DIPR conference hall in Kohima.

The ongoing training is being provided to technical supervisors, senior operators, operators, and assistant operators from six districts: Kohima, Dimapur, Wokha, Mokokchung, Phek, and Peren, in the first phase. In the second phase, five more districts—Zunheboto, Tuensang, Longleng, Mon, and Kiphire—will participate, according to an update.

Director of Information and Public Relations, Dzüvinuo Theünuo, in her inaugural address, encouraged the trainees to be diligent in their work and to take proper care of the public address systems.

The trainees were also addressed by senior officials and encouraged to be diligent and confident in their job.

The practical session of the programme includes hands-on training on public address systems, including amplifier, speakers, mixer connections, drive unit connections, line matching transformers (LMT), battery series connections, etc.
