Training on noting and drafting skills’ held at ATI

Dimapur, July 15 (EMN): Training on “Noting and Drafting Skills” was held in this Institute on July 13 and 14 for assistants from different Departments.
A total of 50 assistants from 8 departments attended the program. Theoretical and practical sessions were taken up on both the topics. Other related topics taken up were, file management and forms of communication.
In the valedictory function, Additional Director (Administration) Kevakha Kevin Zehol, NCS said the Job each one is doing is a God given assignment and therefore everyone should take it up on Mission Mode.
“Assistants are like the human heart. You are like the Data Banks and CPUs of the computer. Therefore you are very important. Without you the office cannot function properly”, added Zehol.
Pointing out that Nagas are second to none, topping in many Indian Universities, however, he said the only problem is lack of commitment. Therefore, he challenged the young assistants to be committed to their job wherever they are, and in their 35 years of service leave their footprints of good examples behind.
The course coordinator, Dr.Hovithal Sothu chaired the program and gave a brief report of the feedbacks received from the participants.
Some of the important comments were, training duration should be increased, practical classes should be increased, trainings should be held once in every 6 months, trainings should also be conducted for the drivers are among others.
He also encouraged the participants to attend more training in future and also to apply the things they have learned in the training in the execution of their jobs in their respective offices.
Huto and Ajungla spoke on behalf of the participants and thanked the ATI and course coordinator for helping them to learn many things in two days.
