Training on IRS at Peren
Heads of offices and representatives of civil societies attend the IRS training programme at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall in Peren on Monday.

Dimapur, April 27 (EMN): Training programme for all heads of offices and civil societies on the Incident Response System (IRS) was conducted at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall in Peren on Monday.

The programme was organised by the district administration in collaboration with District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and Medical department, Peren, in view of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic in the country and in order to institutionalize an effective, orderly and efficient response system in the event of widespread community in the district, an update from DIPR stated.

Resource person, EAC Ngwalwa, Rumbemo T Kithan gave power point presentation on the general overview of IRS structure on Covid-19 for Peren district and the roles and responsibility of responsible officer, incident commander, information and media officer, liaison officers , safety officer, operation section chief, SAM, Response branch director, division supervisor and group in-charge, single resources unit leader, strike team or task force leader, transport branch director, planning section chief, resources unit leader, situation unit leader, documentation unit leader, logistic section chief, service branch director, communication unit leader, medical unit leader, food unit leader, support branch director, resource provisioning unit, facility unit leader, ground support unit leader, finance branch director and compensation or claims unit.

CMO Peren, Dr. Dennis Hangsing gave a brief presentation on Covid-19 preparedness of the district, action plan, protocols to be followed while handling the Covid-19 dead body as issued by the Ministry of H&FW.

DC Sentiwapang Aier, who also presided over the programme informed that mock drill will be conducted on April 29 at Stadium colony, Jalukie.

He appealed to the district officers to be in station and also to be aware of their roles and responsibilities.

Aier further sought co-operation from the various civil societies in the fight against the global pandemic.
