Training on baking, pickle making held in Chümoukedima

DIMAPUR — Three-day training on basic baking and pickle making under the aegis of the Chümoukedima district administration in collaboration with Little Hut social enterprise, Chümoukedima, was conducted from Febuary 22 to 24 at the Little Hut office.

The inaugural programme of the training, part of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, was attended by EAC Chümoukedima Mhashumi Ezung as the special guest, an update stated.

Addressing the trainees, the administrator said that the objective of the training was to empower women and help them to be economically self-sufficient.

Ezung asserted that the district administration is committed to empowering women through the implementation of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme and beyond.

The advisor of Little Hut, Ren James, urged the participants to be sincere and hardworking and make the best use of the baking and pickle-making skills they acquired during the training.

Altogether, 62 women took part in the training in both baking and pickle making with Atoli Sema, pickle trainer and K Danlunla, baking trainer.
