A training of administrative officers on National Electoral Roll Purification and Authentication Program (NERPAP) was held at Peren on March 26. Briefing the officers, the Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Peter Lichamo impressed that “the role of an administrative officer is crucial because the government is taking serious note of the erroneous electoral roll and duplication etc. He also called upon the officers to take keen interest in the purification & authentication of electoral roll programme to see that genuine voters are not deprived. He then appreciated those officers who had undergone training in Kohima. The training session was divided into three chapters. ADC & ERO, Peren, Dr. Kadambari Bhagat, IAS, made presentation on the topic NERPAP.
SDO, Peren, Robin made a detail presentation of IT related NERPAP and AEO, Peren, Joybell made a presentation on VAG/BAG, EPIC and SVEEP. After interaction and discussion on various topics Dr. Kadambari Bhagat, IAS, ADC & ERO, Peren summed up the training.
