Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Tuensang, T Mhabemo Yanthan, has announced training of polling officers for the ensuing Parliamentary election at Government Higher Secondary School, Tuensang.
According to notification, training of presiding officer and 1st polling officer (male) would be conducted at GHSS Auditorium on March 25 and 26 from 10 a.m. onwards, while the 2nd and 3rd polling officer (male) would be conducted at GHSS Class Room 1 and 2 on March 25 and 26 from 10 a.m. onwards.Similarly, training for presiding and 1st polling officers (female) would be conducted at GHSS Auditorium on March 28 and 29 from 10 a.m. onwards while the 2nd and 3rd polling officers (female) would be conducted at GHSS Class Roon 1 on March 28 and 29 from 10 a.m. onwards.
The notification further stated that the 3rd and final round of training would be conducted in the same venue on April 4 and 5. In this connection, he has directed all Head of Departments in Tuensang district to depute all officials under their respective establishment to attend the training. All concerned are also asked to bring two passport size photographs for ID Card.
He further cautioned that any department officials who failed to attend the election training would be prosecuted under the election laws.
