Dimapur, March 8 (EMN): The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has requested the state government to create a special Inner Line Permit category for ‘business visitors and shoppers’ and make arrangements to ease the process of procuring Inner Line Permit for this category having a maximum validity of two days.
In a press release issued on Sunday, the confederation urged the government to immediately rectify this ‘bottleneck’. It, however, asserted that the confederation respects and supports the implementation of Inner Line Permit in Dimapur.
“In this connection CNCCI suggest that to ease the procedure for procuring ILP for this category, the government should set up ILP counter at all Inter-state check gates, airport and train station and bus stations and minimise the documentation to just one ID card approved by government, with nominal fee. The government is requested to take this suggestion on priority basis and with urgency for the smooth functioning of the state economy,” it stated.
