TR Zeliang extends Mongmong greetings

KOHIMA — Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland T R Zeliang has extended greetings to all the members of the Sangtam tribe on the occasion of the Mongmong festival.

Zeliang said in a press note that the Mongmong festival is an important cultural and traditional occasion in the life of the Sangtam tribe, as it is celebrated with splendour to mark the onset of the harvest season and invoke upon the Almighty for a bountiful harvest, prosperity, and longevity.

He hoped that the festival would foster greater unity and love among the Sangtam tribe and wished them a joyous celebration.
