TPO affirms support on Indo-Naga talks

Dimapur, June 28 (EMN): Tenyimi Peoples’ Organisation (TPO) has reaffirmed support to the ongoing Indo-Naga political dialogue and urged to expedite the process for a settlement which is honourable and acceptable to all concerned parties.

The reaffirmation to this effect was made during its presidential council meeting on June 23 at Tadubi town hall and hosted by Mao Council.

On the impasse within the Naga hoho, the organisation has noted regretted, which is detrimental to the cause of the Naga people and negate the very purpose of the hoho.

The organisation press release issued by its president, Timikha Koza, and the general secretary, Vipopal Kintso stated that TPO is committed to the Naga people living together as a people. While maintaining its unbiased, TPO stated that it was prepared to strengthen the Naga hoho.

On the taxi unions imbroglio, which has caused immense hardship to the people, the organisation has decided to take up the matter and resolve the issue at the earliest.

While lauding the Ura Academy in developing the Tenyidie language and literature, the house felt that it should be made inclusive and promoted in all Tenyimi areas as it belongs to all the ten Tenyimi tribes.

The house also decided to constitute constitution amendment committee with CPO president Kekhwengulo as convenor, along with TPO secretary (admn) Ashiphri as member and TPO general secretary Vipopal as ex-officio secretary.
