DIMAPUR — Tourism department, in collaboration with the Nagaland Tourism Association (NTA) conducted a one-day capacity building programme on tour guiding and homestays at Step-by-Step School auditorium in Zunheboto on Saturday.

An update from NTA stated that the invocation prayer was said by Hokheto Yeptho, evangelist of SBAK, Aizuto, while the inaugural session was chaired by NTA president, Vimeto Vakha, and the keynote address was delivered by Nyurhetho, senior tourist officer of Zunheboto.

It stated that Ivan Zhimomi, team leader of Tizu Valley Biodiversity Conservation & Network (TVBCN), Zunheboto, shared his experiences in conservation of nature.

It added that Kejaroko, president Nagaland Association of Tour Operators (NATO), spoke on tourism potentials in Nagaland and also on tour guiding as a profession.

In the second session, Vakha spoke on homestays as a business, which was followed with a brain storming session with participants.
