Dimapur, July 10 (EMN): Tobu area students’ union (Tasu) has announced to undertake tour to all the 18 villages from July 16 to 24 to inspect schools and health centres. The objective of the tour was to identify some of the key challenges for scaling up the education and health facilities under Tobu block.
In this regard, the union has informed all the government appointed staff to be present at their respective place of posting. The union president, Sangti Konyak, and the general secretary, Davidson Ngushu, warned that the union would not be entertaining any proxy teachers/ nurse to interact with the TASU team during the meeting, adding no justification from the VEC/VHC chairman or teacher in-charge would be accepted for failing to be present during the proposed tour.
The union has expressed disappointment with the staff for always taking the resolutions of TASU for granted and implicating on roads and poor infrastructure. The union questioned whether such facilities were agreed to by the concerned departments to be provided at the time of their appointment as teachers/ nurses in a remote area like Tobu.
The union further warned that all the reports would be forwarded to DEO and CMO for taking strict action against any staff failing to present themselves during the meeting.
